On the statement of candidacy Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-La.) filed with the Federal Election Commission in January, she listed her Capitol Hill home as her address. But when qualifying for the ballot last week, she listed her family’s New Orleans home. [click on the link to see the actual filings and discrepancies in listed addresses]Any Unicorn will tell you that established politicians are out of touch with the needs of the American people. Mary Landrieu is no different than many of her colleagues in Washington, DC. After 18 years, she has become one of the elite, power-hungry and driven to control, not serve.
However, it will be up to the good people of Louisiana to decide if Senator Landrieu is truly serving their best interests. As far as a "gotcha," Landrieu has claimed that she, along with her siblings, is a part owner of her parents' home on S. Prier Street in New Orleans and that she, in fact, does live there when she is in Louisiana attending to her constituents' needs.
So, Unicorns believe that even though she built and lives in a 3M mansion in Washington, DC, all the hoopla may be much ado about nothing. However, the political ads in the next few weeks will be fun to watch. Heh!
