Another weekend in the shooting gallery known as Chicago

by Rob Janicki

It was another blazing weekend in Chicago, and we're not talking about the temperature.  Guns were blazing and people were dropping like flies in a Black Flag fog.
October has been one of the most violent months this year in the city of Chicago: This weekend, four were killed and 32 were wounded during a Indian Summer-like weekend.
The deaths occurred on Friday and Sunday, but Chicago was lucky that even more didn't die on Sunday as there were nearly as many shootings on that one day (18 incidents) alone as both Friday and Saturday combined (21 shootings). Sunday, of course, had the nicest temperatures.
Chicago, controlled by a corrupt Democrat Party political machine for most of my lifetime, continues to decline and it's the black community that has suffered the most.  One has to ask why is it that the black community has suffered so greatly?  Didn't Democrats provide pubic housing and support for southern blacks that migrated northward after World War II?  Yes, and blacks have been relegated to the Democrat plantation in south Chicago ever since.  The housing projects were meant to keep blacks from settling in the white suburbs and upscale, white sections of Chicago.

Unfortunately, the black housing projects turned into centers infested with drugs and crime.  This is where black-on-black crime got its foothold and that's what we see regularly in Shooting Gallery Chicago.

So liberal of this anti-gun Democrat to be caught packing loaded gun.

by Rob Janicki

We've regularly seen news on the protests and the community activists ginning up anti-gun and anti-police rhetoric in Ferguson, MO ever since early August when police officer Darren Wilson shot and killed 18-year, 300-plus-pound, street thug Michael Brown, who tried to attack the officer in his squad car and shortly thereafter in the street.

Many protesters have been arrested on countless charges of misdemeanors to more serious felonies.  What has had little reporting is that a liberal Democrat state politician went well beyond protesting when she arrived on scene to participate in the ongoing charade to seek justice for Michael Brown before all the evidence has been presented to the grand jury now hearing all the evidence.

The protesters can be best described as a vigilante mob seeking immediate street justice with a short rope and a tall tree, the evidence be damned.
The NRA has listed Missouri State Senator Jamilah Nasheed as a politician to be concerned about when it comes to gun rights.

... she (Nasheed) also wanted a bill passed that contained this ridiculous reporting requirement: “A parent or guardian of a child who attends a public, private, or charter school shall notify, in writing, the superintendent of the school district, or the governing body of a private school or charter school, that such parent or guardian owns a firearm within thirty calendar days of enrollment.”

With all that underlying information characterizing Ms. Nasheed and her anti-gun phobias, the following is just so "liberal" of her.
By all appearances, Miss Nasheed doesn’t like guns.

Which is why officers were shocked to find her in possession of a 9mm pistol and extra ammo as she protested in Ferguson.

Police arrested her and charged her with failure to obey a lawful order when she and other protestors refused to get off the street.

But the real question is what was an anti-gun senator doing with a handgun in her pocket?

It's uncertain at this time if Ms. Hasheed had a concealed carry permit allowing her to carry a firearm.  It's also uncertain if she was under the influence of alcohol, even though she was reported to be reeking of hooch when stopped by police in Ferguson for failure to follow a lawful police order to disburse.   It's just plain paradoxical why an anti-gunner would be carrying a concealed weapon legally or otherwise.  It's thus uncertain if Ms. Hasheed will be charged with a crime for unlawfully carrying a concealed weapon.

Senator Mark Udall (D-CO) botches MLK quote - Michele returns the favor.

by Rob Janicki

When things are going badly, Murphy's Law says the chances are it will only get worse.  And it did.  Senator Udall is now trailing Republican Congressman Cory Gardner, and his gaffe introducing First Lady Michele Obama didn't help elevate his campaign image.  Not to be upstaged by Udall's gaffe, the First Lady went on to make her latest political gaffe, and it was substantial in that it illustrated that all she knew about Mark Udall was what someone in her entourage put before her.  If I were that person, I would be updating my resume' immediately.
“I’m so proud of our country,” Mr. Udall said to the crowd. “We showed that Dr. Martin Luther King [Jr.] had it right, which is that in America, at our best, we judge people by the content of their color.”

“The content of their character, not the content of their skin. I got it right. I got it both ways!” Mr. Udall said enthusiastically.

Mrs. Obama had her own gaffe during the event when she seemed to confuse Mr. Udall with his Republican rival Rep. Cory Gardner.

She praised Mr. Udall’s Senate record and touted him as a “fifth-generation Coloradan,” according to Fox News.

Here's the problem with the First Lady's comment.
But Mr. Udall is not a fifth-generation Coloradan. He was born in Arizona where his father, former Rep. Mo Udall, served as a Congressman from 1961 to 1991.

Mr. Gardner is a fifth-generation Coloradan, and frequently mentions his families deep rooted history in the state.
The polling numbers show a substantial trending for Cory Gardner and against Mark Udall.  Depending upon the poll, Gardner is leading Udall by more than 3 points and in some cases by 5 or more points.  What is also interesting is that Republican mail-in ballots are outnumbering Democrat mail-in ballots by a considerable margin.

Liberal idiocy runs amok. Employee fired for admitting that he owned a gun.

by Rob Janicki

The gated community of Lakes of the Four Seasons in Indiana likes to bill itself as “Chicagoland’s best kept secret.”

Apparently the secret is that the Lakes of the Four Seasons is run by a group of liberal a$$holes who believe they can deprive an employee of a job if he or she owns a gun. You aren't going to believe this is happening in America. This is the modus operandi of socialist and fascist societies.

Imagine getting fired for merely indicating that you owned a gun, which you kept at home for self-defense.  The good news to this travesty is that, under the law, the action taken by the board of the Lakes of the Four Seasons is clearly illegal.

Mr. Ferlaino (the victim of this egregious violation of law) is now pursuing a suit against Lake of the Four Seasons for punitive and actual damages, alleging that LOFS violated Indiana’s  “take your gun to work law” by asking him if he carried a gun.

As the article points out, an employer cannot make a condition of employment an act by management that violates an employee's constitutional rights.  I suspect the victim, Mr. Ferlaino, will win a large jury verdict of this blatant attempt to strip a private gun owner of his rights under law.  The alternative is that the Lake of the Four Seasons board will settle out of court, rather than subject themselves to a likely crushing financial verdict from a jury.  A good defense attorney would be obligated to advise his client to take an out-of-court settlement rather than risk an unknown possibility to sustaining a bankrupting jury verdict.  We'll have to wait and see how bright the attorney for the Lakes of the Four Seasons really is.
