Tuesday night, violence and looting returned to Ferguson, MO after the Michael Brown memorial burned that morning. According to police, the likely culprit was a lit candle and not vandalism.

Enraged citizens saw this as an opportunity to loot . . . a bunch of weaves . . . at Beauty Town. According to the Daily Mail, the owner of the targeted business told KMOV that this is the third time that his store has been looted. So far, he has lost more than $100,000 in stolen merchandise. In addition to the looting, the likely destruction of the memorial by an unattended candle sparked renewed violence and civil unrest aimed mainly at the police:- thrown rocks
- hurled bottles
- gunfire
- one Molotov cocktail
On Wednesday, with all the venting and rage expended, citizens began rebuilding the memorial, hopefully, sans candles this time.
