I think it is safe to say that the GOP and RNC simply don't get the conservative shift taking place in the wake of being held hostage to a progressive agenda which is destroying the very fabric of what it means to be a free American. In other words, their messaging sucks.
Today's email is pushing an $18 mug lamenting "I Miss W." The RNC claims: In the White House, President George W. Bush took on tremendous challenges with great courage and character. He put the nation’s best interests over his own. This is what is missing in the White House right now—and that’s why we miss W. so much.
While Unicorns agree with most of this sentiment about G.W., do we miss him? No. Do we believe he was a better president than B.O.? Most definitely, yes.
Flash back to September 2nd, and I see a ugly pair of socks for sale asking me to make a bold statement for $35 bucks. I'm certainly glad to see the stereotype that the GOP is nothing more than old, white men is in play here because those are the only people I could see wearing these socks.
For a limited time only, donate $35 to the RNC and you will receive a special-edition pair of socks designed exclusively by the RNC in honor of President George H.W. Bush. These limited-edition socks are embroidered with the Republican elephant and signed by President George H.W. Bush.
Is this stroll down memory lane with G.H. and G.W. meant to condition us to accept another moderate Republican in 2016, or is it more specifically engineered to keep the Bush dynasty alive in preparation of a Jeb Bush presidential bid? As reported yesterday in The Wall Street Journal, this dream may still be alive for Jeb Bush and his supporters.
I'm certain thorough research into Jeb's time spent as governor of Florida could make a significant argument as to why he is worthy of being the next Bush to sit in the oval office. Personally his stance on amnesty for illegals and idiot push for Common Core sealed the deal for me. True conservatives and the majority of Unicorns will reject Jeb Bush.
