Unicorn History: The Tea Party

In May, Dana Loesch (host of The Dana Show) opened the TX Online Conference, sponsored by AFP TX (Americans for Prosperity Texas). In her remarks she made a shocking claim: the Tea Party is dead. As one of the earliest members of the Tea Party, she argued that this movement was birthed prior to the 2010 elections as a catalyst to wake up sleeping Americans still feeling defeat with the election of a Progressive president in 2008.

With the term Tea Party mentioned daily in the press and in social media, it is clear that this particular political entity is alive and kicking, but perhaps Mrs. Loesch is correct in her assessment. The Tea Party of 2014 has a renewed vision to primary and cull out ineffective politicians from the Republican party. The Tea Party of today may be different than it was in 2010, but it still adheres to the basic principles that its forefathers displayed in the darkness of night on December 16, 1773.

What boggles the Unicorn mind is how Progressives try to define everything today but do not understand (or are unwilling to admit) the truth about American history. The prevailing sentiment flowing daily from the LibCrib is that the Tea Party and its members are racist, stupid, and backward. Even more amazing is the sad reality that Conservatives allow this perversion of history with weak messaging. When the occupoopers are glamorized more than rebel patriots, is it any surprise America is sinking?
