Burger King had lost Unicorns with the Proud Whopper and the hijacking of rainbow symbolism, but it may have just earned back some customers with its recent decision to take advantage of the tax inversion rule and merge with a Canadian company. Unicorns like burgers and investing money, so if a corporation can make this kind of move and its shareholders' investments soar, who cares what country the corporate office calls home.
For those gnashing their teeth and screaming for executive action to do away with the tax inversion rule and hold businesses hostage in America, Unicorns say, "you are the problem." If you want companies to thrive, employee more people, and offer more Obamacare, then make it profitable for them to do business here in this country and lower the corporate tax rate. Or, better yet, get rid of the tax and then Katy bar the door as businesses flood into this country bringing tons of jobs and opportunity. If you don't have a better solution, please shut the hell up and go have a Big Mac.
