Insomnia has made me her bitch for the past couple of nights. It's been a couple months since her last visit. There is nothing quite as exciting as laying in bed alone and trying to convince yourself that you absolutely will not open your eyes again until morning and you find yourself involuntarily staring at the ceiling watching the first light of day ever so slowly light up the room until you say the hell with it and get up and make a pot of coffee.
Ferguson, Missouri. What the hell is wrong with people? The popular meme in hoods across the nation is the police will cover up the truth regarding Michael Brown's death.
The truth will come out and be revealed to the public. It will happen.
Everyone from Obama on down to your crazy Aunt Minnie has weighed in on this circus.
Missouri Gov Nixon has called for officer Darren Wilson's prosecution...prior to a grand jury's decision.
The Black Panthers, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson have made their obligitory pilgrimage to Ferguson and have done nothing but ask for money and promote racial hatred.
How can people believe a cover up can occur in this insane atmosphere?
And now Attorney General Eric Holder is in Ferguson. Holder likes to remind people of the fact that he is a Black man.
I would prefer he remind people he is the United States Attorney General.
But I digress.
Eric Holder will know if a cover up is being perpetrated in Missouri. I have no doubt he will know because he knows all about cover ups.
Fast and Furious. The death of Brian Terry and hundreds of others. Holder owns it and the coverup. .
The IRS targeting of Conservative groups. Holder wouldn't appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the IRS even if Lois Lerner were to break down and confess.
Benghazi. Once again, there will be no special prosecutor to investigate. Maybe Eric is being merciful to Hillary Clinton. An investigation might result in lowered speaking fees for her, Bill and that no talent homely kid of theirs.
Eric Holder is simply used to an environment in which cover ups and skullduggery are the norm not the exception.
Seriously though, I truly believe the truth will prevail in Ferguson.
I also truly believe the truth will out in Washington, DC.
I just believe it will take longer for it to happen in DC because nothing beats experience when digging a hole to bury the truth.
Did I mention my insomnia kicked in the other night?
Here's a great tune I listened to during the interminable hours I've been awake.
